OK, I'm 31 and you would think that I would have already learned these things, but different books have made me really understand different concept.
1. Given certain information, seen from different view points, people can come up with totally different conclusions, usually none of them being completely right or wrong.
2. Someone out there will have been through a situation you are in, and had the exact same nutso feelings you were sure no one else could feel. And an author will be able to actually put those feelings into words!
3. That it is possible for your mind to actually experience smells, sounds, etc while reading, and your body actually changes chemistry with this...for examples erotic scenes
