Cursive writing

Thread Starter
My seven year old wants to learn cursive writing.

Can anyone recommend any good sites? I'm not interested in purchasing anything because I know her learning style and she'll probably pick this up and drop it over and over again for months so shelling out money for something that will most likely collect dust doesn't interest me

She's a very active kid who doesn't like to sit still long if that helps the recommendations any.

I'm just getting a little overwhelmed by how much is out there. There are *so* many cursive handwriting sites (sites that have printouts) I don't know if I should just close my eyes and pick one or is there a "best" way to do this or what?

She asked me to write out the alphabet in cursive tonight and I found that I can't My cursive is a mix of cursive and print but I wrote the letters the way I write them and we had a nice discussion about handwriting

google "printable cursive" or "printable cursive worksheets" and you'll find plenty.

If she's a bouncy type, you could also start her on BIG cursive letters on a dry erase or chalkboard - she can do it while standing, and I think it's a lot easier to start big.
