What is wrong with him wanting her to be a stay at home? staying out of the light? His other kids aren't in the media why would this one be? Why is it not possible that she might want the same thing? A lot of stars do what they can to keep their kids out of the media.


As for the quote, I would want to actually hear him say it (taped) because with out proof people are known to make mistakes and make them up. I have known people to be misquoted one to many times to just take "a friends" word.

I agree they are an odd pair but I also want to give the benifit of the doubt, tabloids (star gossip sections) are not always reliable.

I think the creepy parts of the quote (if it's true) is the "my" and "I" usage. The baby belongs to BOTH of them. I wouldn't be surprised if the quote is true - based on the interviews I've seen with him he seems to be really controlling.

I think the quote "I've got Katie tucked away" is profoundly icky...it makes her into someone totally passive, just an object that he controls.

Of course, I also think "creepy Tom Cruise quote" is redundant.

Her being "tucked away" till the baby's born reminds me of an old fashioned way of talking about birth: used to called 'confinement'...

that and his 'my child' hearken to a very outmoded way of thinking?

Jenniey, did you see the debate thread about her pregnancy? There's a link out there somewhere with pics of her belly mysteriously "disappearing." It really does look fake. I would not be surprised in the slightest if this whole pregnancy thing was fake.

There's nothing wrong with being private about your life, but c'mon! He could have said, "Katie is taking it easy at home for now. We decided it was best for her to stay out of the spotlight until she is ready." Or something.

If she is actually pregnant, I predict that as soon as that baby comes out, Tom's gonna be outta there and applying for full custody. I have no idea why he's so obsessed with claiming his ownership of Katie and their, um, I mean HIS baby, but it really creeps me out!

Supposedly, his agent/manager/PR person (I don't know the difference between these people) kept a tight lid on him for 20 years. He let her go & hired his sister (also a scientologist) & that's when all the craziness appeared.

Not too sad, I knew that too. Did you also know that a few months back he also fired his sister (I don't know why) and hired some new pr person? This was around the time that TomKat announced they were "expecting", so maybe his sister had some problem with all the crazy stuff he was doing at that time. I guess it's so hard to believe he's always been that way 'cause I honestly cannot see Nicole Kidman living with that craziness.




Now that I think about it, it is kinda sad that we know soooo much more about complete strangers than we probably do about ppl irl. Oh well.
