I was wondering if anyone had breastmilk tested for Mercury? I have an 11 mo old ds who is not eating solids, only expressed breastmilk and formula (Ive never made enough for him). He has severe silent reflux and possible oral aversion and/or sensory issues. He is also showing developmental delays and some possible red flags for autism. He had a vax injury (several) and I just found out that he got a half of adult dose in his flu shot and got 12.5 mircograms of thermerisol in that and trace amounts in 4 other vax's that he recieved.

Anyway, we may end up needing chelation or some other type of detox therapy for him and I just found out about the mercury/ dental thing and I have 9 amalgam fillings which apparently seep mercury into your system daily and can affect a fetus in utero and a baby through breastmilk. Because of the whole, "Do I get them removed now, pump and dump, and then retest urine or breastmilk in a few weeks, or do I just leave them alone and continue to possibly give him mercury through bm" kind of quandry, I want to get my breastmilk tested and see what the levels are that he is being exposed to. So I dont want to detox him and simultaneously retox him YKWIM?

But it appears that the amalgam removal is a tricky thing. And I would be willing to get them all out in a minute, but I dont want to dump more mercury in him. And the IOAM (or whatever its called) Dentist that I'm going to said that the shortest half life on a mercury compound is 70 days, but that the toxicity that I put out after my removal could go down in as little as a few days or a few months. So I dont know what to do. I dont want to stop giving him breast milk as I am not giving him any more vax's and I want him to have the immunity qualities of my milk,...minus the mercury. And there are several other really important reasons why I think its important to continue b/fing him due to his feeding, aversion, reflux issues.

So if anyone has gotten breastmilk tested (esp before and after amalgam filling removal) I would appreciate hearing about your experience, which lab you used, the costs and the results.

Thanks,

Nik
