Since my DS was born he’s been carried in a ring sling but you have to be running to keep him happy, and then he falls asleep and we can slow the pace. At about 2 months I got a kangaroo corner fleece pouch which I liked better but now my DS want to face forward so I put him in bum first with legs crossed in front which is quite a struggle as you really have to stuff him in. I think he finds it uncomfortable and my DH hates to use it for this reason. Anyway DH uses the ring sling with DS hanging out so one hand has to hold him in and I use the pouch which I don’t think is that comfy and usually have to support him with one had as well since he tips toward the side that isn’t over my shoulder then if he falls to sleep I have to support his head so it isn’t flopping all over the place. I’ve been looking around for something that is versatile as far as baby wearing positions go, is easy on DH’s poor back and my DS will like being in. The mai tai has great reviews however it doesn’t look like DS can face forward in it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I think what you are looking for is a wrap. With a wrap, I think all of your problems will be taken care of. It is the most comfortable, in my opinion. You can wear it for a long period of time and not even notice the weight as it distributes the weight evenly over the back and shoulders. Your baby can go in any position, front facing, cradle, back, tummy to tummy.
