The Storyteller

I treated myself to the DVD of this Jim Hensen series from the late 80's. I recorded it off the tely in England when my children were young and remembered enjoying them very much. John Hurt as the storyteller and his animated dog (Brian Henson, I believe) were great!

I watched all the episodes last night and marveled at the quality of the stories, script and dialogue, effects, etc not to mention all the now famous actors in it (Sean Bean as a prince enchanted by a Trollop, for instance - and what a creepy witch Miranda Richardson made!).

Anybody remember this series? It should be shown again for a new generation of kidlings...

No, I'm sorry but I haven't seen it and Sean Bean is one of my favorite actors. Loved him in Lord of the Rings - Fellowship of the Ring. I'll have to look for this DVD at Blockbuster.

You will love Sean Bean in this...so innocent...his 'True Bride' must travel the world and use magic to save him from the Trollop's spell.

I loved him in LOTR...

You will also love all the stories in this collection...
hope you can find it at your Blockbusters..
