Ok, so I named our 1st, my dh named our 2nd, and I have named the passed 2 since. We have decided it would be his turn, so this whole pregnancy since 1 month along he has said Hunter, and I have been trying to talk him out of it, I like old fashioned traditional names. I want Gabriel or Alexander, yes yes yes I know it is his turn. So tonight he says, well we do not have to name him Hunter, I like Morgan too.....( 3 months ago he wanted to name the baby Buckshot, not kidding!!!) So, I like morgan for a boy les than i like hunter, I am so hoping that he will see this baby and say . honey, you name him, lol... Anyway, he also keeps saying that he might decide what to name him when he sees him. Just hoping he keeps it simple like my other ones!!!!

I like the name Hunter.. It sure is better than Buckshot!!!

My husband used to make deals with me, "if you do this, I'll let you name the kids". We know that's not how it works... Even though he promised I got to name the kids he made sure he got his say in there. I just kept saying the name was what I wanted until he came up with something I liked better. Eventually we agreed on Courtney Layne. Good luck changing his mind!!

Hey, I'm glad we're not the only ones who do this. I named 1, he named 2, I named 3, so it is his turn now. It was a formal agreement from the beginning. We do get veto power though.

I figure that dh got to "pick" their last name (his), so I got to pick the first names.

Its funny, I totally named our first and feel that dh named our second (but the name came from my family and he 'asked' me what his name would be after the birth, even though it was his first choice name that I selected, he still feels that I picked....) so he sorta gets to name this one. Problem is, we have not agreed upon a girls name....we have a boys name so lets hope that we can be peaceful about a name if its a girl.....?

Thats a good point, he has picked the last name for all the kids, lol. I wanted to update, he called me yesterday morning from work about 8 am all excited, he said he wants to name the baby Cory, and i can pick the middle name. Cory is a very cute name, and I do like it better than Hunter, but still doesnt go with my other boys;s names I dont think. And I cannot figure out a middle name to go with it. Anyone have any ideas for a middle name? These are my boys now names I have: Donald Raymond, Thomas English, Joseph Luke and Jacob Daniel, plus a step son Bryce Daniel. I like the name Benjaman, Gabriel and Alexander, but they just do not sound good with Cory to me.

Tell him Morgan is a girls name meaning great Queen of the sea.( my name is morgan) this is only one of the meanings but it is def one that makes guys think twice about naming sons morgan

Due to my Husbands family tradition of naming the first son after his Grandfather I really count that as hubby picking his name! See hubby is named Clifton and his Father was Larry and his Father was Clifton and so on, alternating like that. So he picked the middle name too. I named the second. Samuel James is his name and the second I suggested it hubby loved it too. so I was the one who picked it but I didn't get an argument and we decided on a name for the third one together. Good thing this baby wasn't a boy because we argued out the wazoo over boys names and at about 21-22 weeks had a solid choice girls name Isabelle Sariah. But ya we have, as you can see, taken turns.
