Still pregnant....sigh......

but i did get the news that i am 80% effaced today from "soft" last thursday! only dilated a "finger tip" but still, yay! no real hard contractions but lots of back soreness/crampiness... i feel things are starting to shift.

come on baby!!!!!!!!

He isn't due to come back until March 24 thats what we kept telling his command when we were trying to get him to be able to stay home. Apparently the fact that its a homebirth I'm obviously healthy in their minds so they didn't feel it was necessary. I MIGHT get to talk to him on the phone this weekend though so that would be awesome! We actually planned a UC and our whole family thinks its a midwife supported birth and none of them were happy about that... DH's family are big believers of c- sections all starting with dh coming that way. and while my mom has never had anything but really easy births all in hospitals down to the 30 minute scary drive to the hospital for the birth of my sister who was crowning before we even got there she is a big fan of things like that being done in the hospital just in case. So i have no other back up support other than a neighbor who said she would try to come by to help with the other kids and I do have a doula as well but she has a few other mamas due now and told her if one of the first time moms was laboring not to worry about it its not like its my first time.

I have had many a dream this pregnancy that I birthed the baby alone with just the kids here and in my dreams has always been a peaceful event so I'm just holding on to that hoping its stays true!
