At what age do naps stop?

Just curious about when other parents' little one's stopped napping. Our lil' fellow has been less and less sleepy at bedtime, but when he doesn't nap he is grouchy and sometimes falls asleep at dinner. He won't take a "short" nap, if he falls asleep he's out for atleast a couple of hours, no matter what I try to do to wake him. I don't really know at what age naps are usually discontinued. I realize it is different for every kiddo, but still curious. Thanks.

My kids all stopped napping by 18months. They did fall asleep around suppertime for a few nights but then they'd stay asleep until morning.

DD started fighting naps around 12-13 months and was finally done (I gave up. Zero naps per week) by 20ish months.

DS napped longer. He wasn't fully done until closer to two (he started not napping every day early in the 2nd year, but held on to a few naps weekly for a while longer. His bday is at the end of summer, so that upped his napping too (we would go swimming in the afternoon and he would fall asleep on the way home type stuff).

ds still will take an hour nap in the afternoon about 60% of the time and he turned 5 in December

DD phased out her naps between 3 and 3 1/2.

DD stopped taking naps at around 18months. Ds is almost 16mo now and it looks like he will be the same. He fights sleep and if he does go down he wakes back up raring to go 30min later he takes a nap about 5 days out of 7now.

I had one that quit at 18 months, and one who didn't quit until Kindergarten, at 5 and a half. My 4, almost 5 year old still takes naps 2-3 days/week, and my 14 month old usually still takes 2 naps/day. I REALLY feel that 18 months is too early to phase out naps, (it took me one cranky toddler to learn this) but we go to bed at around 9 and get up at 6, so long nights are not really an option here.

So far my kids have stopped napping between 18 mos - 2 1/2 yrs old

older ds was almost 3 when they started getting irregular...they had stopped almost completely I think by a couple months after 3...now he takes one every once in a blue moon. Younger ds went down to 0-1 naps at 6 months old : so I expect him to drop that 1 nap earlier than his brother...

My 24-month-old DD still naps once a day, for 1-2 hours. My 4-year-old DS doesn't nap every day, but still takes a nap 4-5 days per week, also for 1-2 hours. With DS, I ask him to lie down for "quiet time" every day, and he sometimes falls asleep and sometimes doesn't.

My four and a half year old still naps.

My 4 year old gave up naps at 23 months.
My 20 month old gave up all naps at 13 (no, not a typo) months.

They both are in bed by 7-7:30 each night.

For those of you with older (4-5 year olds) nappers, do they have a late bedtime?

DD gradually started dropping naps at around ??15-16?? months, and was completely finished regular napping by 21 months.

ds stopped around 15 months, but was never a good napper to begin with.

DS's naps started going haywire right around the time he turned three. He would still take naps, but each one-hour nap would push bedtime back by two hours so he'd be more tired overall. It was an untenable situation so I mostly gave up on trying to "make" him sleep.

DS (3 1/2 now) gave them up around his 3rd birthday, but started napping almost daily again about 4 months later.

Honestly, I'm enjoying having the quiet time - he and DD (1 1/2) nap at the same time.
