Which carrier for sun & water?

I need to get a sun protective, water-wearable carrier NOW, because we are going to FL in 2 weeks. My DD is 9 weeks old and pretty big. I just can't decide which kind/brand to get. I have lots of carriers but nothing in Solarveil.

Two I've considered are Mommas Milk pouch and Gypsy Mama wrap. I'd love some ideas and feedback and comments. Thanks!

I would go with the mama's milk pouch. It will just be so much easier on the beach. Gypsy mama is a GREAT wrap, so if you feel comfortable with wrapping and unwrapping at the beach, then go for that. I like the quick in and out of a pouch, esp in the water.

LOVE the GM water wrap. Your baby is small enough that it's a good fit. I like how SECURE you have the baby and you are truly hands free. I also like that it is NOT solarveil. I do not like the texture of solarveil on delicate baby skin, and mix that with water, just not a happy solution IMO. Mine just got too big, the GM is stretchy or else I'd still have it! I also liked using it as a cover up blanket as well.

I like pouches and ring slings for the water, so quick for in and out!The Mamas Milk Solarveil one is great, very well made and easy to use!

Oh gosh. I'm not sure this is helping. Herein lies my dilemna. The GM seems like the fabric is nicer, and I like that it is more secure for a little one. DD really likes my Didy wrap right now. But then again, she is sleeping in my Maya Wrap right now. A pouch might be easier for DH to use, and is quicker in and out...but then again DH might never use a carrier anyway, so I should just get what I like best. But I can't decide what I might like best...

Okay, I just did it. I got the Gypsy Mama water wrap in the ivory. Thank you for the Springcleaning code - that's what put me over the edge. I'm excited to get it. Who cares if my DH won't wear it...! Ah, but now I will still be wondering about the pouch...
