waaaaaaaaaaaah!!! she used to sleep for 3-4 hour stretches during the day in her moses basket. pft. now i'm lucky if she'll sleep an hour in there. really, most of the time she doesn't "survive" the transfer. why why why???? she was sleeping SO great in there!!!!!

AND she's *really* preferring to sleep on me at night. which, i gotta admit, i really love...but i don't love the long-term implications. i've had a clingy kid. i'm ready for a non-clingy one. LMAO!!! that sounds awful. but really...i was very happy that she seemed to want to be more independent in sleep. ohhhh well.

maybe she'll go back to how she was before. maybe. *crosses fingers*

Michelle, I'm so jealous you ever got her to sleep for 3 hrs during the day, though I can imagine what it must be like with another child. I don't have any words of wisdom though, sorry.

I sending you (well her really) sleeping vibes, but not sure the ones coming from our house are any good. Aveena slept all of about 2 hrs during the day yesterday in total. Man was she a nightmare in the evening. I just hate it when most of my day revolves around trying to get her to sleep.

i know what you mean, megan! ds isn't a great napper, and when he doesn't nap he gets SO cranky. so i often feel like i spend my whole day trying to get him to nap!!

michele - i hope ava returns to her better napping for you!!

On those kind of days, I just end up wearing her in the Didy or a sling all day. It seems like she just needs the closeness and if I give into it she sleeps continuously. If I try to put her down on a needy day, she wakes up right away. So annoying.

michele, i totally understand...i know clingy...dh and i were commenting last night on the fact that if we were to add up ALL the time reed has been off our bodies since his birth (including days and nights) it wouldn't add up to even an hour. i am completely sick of him being on me 24/7. believe me, i try too...

i hope ava can get back into a less clingy mode. i'm sure it's just a phase that she needs her mama more.

oh and to you megan. i'm totally with you.

ok so get this - she was sleeping on me this morning (around 9ish?) and i had to get up to pee, get rowan something else to eat, etc...so i put her in her moses basket. she woke up immediately, i knew she would. but i HAD to do these things so i just left her in there. she didn't cry or anything. by the time i got back from doing what i had to do (maybe 5 minutes tops??) she was asleep!!! OMG!

she slept there until about 45 minutes ago!

and now...she's in her bouncy seat cooing and swatting at the dangling toy!!! WOOHOOOO
