My V-Day SUCKED! Chris ruined his present last week and mine too. I already knew what I was getting and I haven't gotten it yet. (still waiting for it to come in the mail) He got his though, right on schedule.

I didn't even get a "Happy Valentines Day" from him. We stayed home all day while he cleaned his room and went through all the crap that his ex gave him. What a wonderful freaking day.

I hate Valentines Day with a passion now. I wish it would go away forever

Oh... my... God! How adorable is she, Claire?!

Happy belated V-day to everyone!

I got a fun present -- An Onion book to enjoy while on the pooper. If you've never read the Onion, I highly recommend it. It's hysterical!

well, i did have to run out to get dh something for vday YESTERDAY while he was at work...im usually so on top of holidays, but w/ the babe and the sickness i am just not together this year. he got me a beautiful card and some cheap candy and flowers (i dont like cheap candy and i don't like flowers...i just dont like the dying thing...i like plants though).
so get this...i knew he didnt get me anything so yesterday while i was shopping, i picked some things out for myself and put them on lay away....last night when he got home and said he would get me something (he has been in Boston all week and exhausted b/c of the babe's nighttime), i told him if he wanted, he could just get the things off layway! thats the first time in my life i ever put anything on layaway...but i knew he would need something, so i actually did him a favor!
oh, and i found an awesome pair of Merrell snow boots (pink!!!) at TJMaxx for $35, marked down from the retail of $150!!!!! i got those for myself for VDay!!

i wish my day would have been so good. it started okay - actually great. then dh got home....LOL

no card, no little gift. i had gotten a card for him earlier this year and gave that to him, made a gourmet-type dinner for him from a recipe we got at sur la table (i don't cook so this is a really big deal), washed the dishes so he wouldn't have to, got ds1 ready for bed. all of these things are usually things he does so it really gave him a break. also cleaned the house really, really well. i also sent him an ecard earlier in the day at work.

i held reed the entire night and he doesn't fall asleep at the normal 10-11pm, instead he falls asleep at 1am (dh had been in bed for 3 hours by then). then dh and i get into a really bad argument and i end up crying for nearly an hour.

things are better now, but my valentines day...blech...

end rant.

Hmm ...

Bethany ended up staying home sick from school and missing her VDay party...after working VERY hard on 16 cards for her classmates and teachers. This was the first year she wrote out all the cards herself!

After sleeping most of the day, her cold was feeling a ton better.

Because she wasn't feeling well... I couldn't run out to the store to get something for Mario, although I already had picked up a card for him thank goodness. I also couldn't get to Macy's to buy a suit that I'm going to need for interviews..not that I've gotten ONE call yet from any of the 18 jobs I applied for. The suits were on sale which ended yesterday.

Mario got home from work at 7pm, we all jumped in the car and drove to the mall to watch mommy try on TEN different suits before finding one that had a jacket that covered her broad shoulders AND her huge chest! We got a great deal on it and Beth and Ben really behaved themselves in the store...it just isn't the way I wanted to spend VDay w/ my hubby ya know?

On the way home it was too late to stop somewhere and eat at a real restaurant so we grabbed some Burger King and ate it in the car on the way home.

Mario was really great though...he gave me two DVDs for Vday (The Muppet Movie and Wallace & Grommit's Wererabbit movie) and a really cute/funny card. I picked up an Eric Carle book and matching stuffed animal for Beth and Ben at Kohl's...they do such great stuff with kids books for fund raising. Beth LOVED them both..cause you know Beth gets to open all Ben's stuff until he is old enough to be able to, one of the privledges of being a big sister!

Hugs to everyone and hope you had a great Vday!
