We're not telling anyone yet...

And all I want to do is run over to my family & best friends, tell them the great news, and then jump up and down in celebration ! Its so frustrating knowing that we're expecting and that we can't tell anyone. It being our first baby is even more exciting.

Anyhow, so now that I've found you guys, you might be dealing with my excitement and frustration over the next four weeks. We're flying home to my family (I'm originally from north of Toronto) so that we can tell them in person on March 17th. Until then, "mom's" the word.

What did you do in order to make the time pass between finding out and when you told everyone? TIA!

CONGRATULATIONS on your pregnancy!!

I didn't tell my fam right away because I didn't want it to overshadow my brother's graduation from fire academy. Mostly, I just didn't think about not telling. (Sort of like trying not to think of a pink elephant, I know, but that's what I did.) I also DID talk a lot about it online with the lovely MDC ladies. So that helped. I'm only 7 weeks now and we've shared the happy news... so I didn't have to wait as long as it sounds like you do.

Sorry if this isn't very helpful.

Congratulations on your little bean!!!! We're also keeping "mom", as we had a miscarriage last time, 2 days after everyone knew We're waiting until the 2nd trimester. One thing that helped me is that we told a couple of people: my sister and my in-laws. It was really nice to have someone to share the excitement with and to be supported by, even when no one else could know for a while.
