It is with great sadness that I announce the departure of Rubylark (Jolene) as moderator of this board. If only there were more hours in the day so she could manage education, work, family and Mothering plus all the other things in life that pull for her time! Jolene has given her soul to this forum and leaves us with a heavy heart. We are greatly indebted to her and wish her great success in the continuance of her education and her work. Blessings and love to you Jolene!!

ekblad7 - new moderator of the board

Amy (ekblad7) is now the new moderator of The Case Against Circumcision. With her moderating experience on various other boards I'm sure you'll find her diplomacy and support of great value. Should you need anything just send her a PM.

I am so sad at this very moment as I read your farewells! I didn't know I'd actually be crying like a baby at the moment my leaving became official...yet here I am on my third tissue!!!!

For those of you who aren't aware of my history with this forum, I've been the mod since the day it opened...back in the days when the forums were called the "mother boards" and mod's were called "site guides." (hee-hee, those terms sound so funny now!) My how things have changed, grown, and developed into this wonderful community filled with all you beautiful people!

When I signed on almost four years ago, things in the forum were quite different. And, I'm most proud to say that, through all of us working together, we've re-named (a couple of times!!) and re-directed this forum away from being a place of debate and toward its current purpose-- a safe place for parents who want to explore all the wonderful advantages of respecting their child's rights to a whole body.

I am SOOO incredibly sad to leave. I feel like I'm giving up a piece of my heart. However, my energies are still very much committed to children. I am leaving Mothering so that I can devote my time to treating children (and grown-ups too!) with communication disorders as I continue my pursuit of a graduate degree in that field. Because of the increasing challenges my studies are bringing, lately I haven't been able to devote the time to this forum that I'd like. And, I'm one of those people that has to do something to the best of her ability, or she won't sign her name to it. So, it's time for me to go. But, I will miss every one of you. And, YES, you'll still see me here from time to time!

Amy, you will be a superb new mod! WELCOME AMY!!! May this place be as wonderful to you as it was to me!!!

With love, true gratitude, and a very heavy heart,

Jolene

Welcome to Amy as our new Moderator. This thread prolly would've been longer if it hadn't been for all the error messages and "can't find the server" I, for one, been having to put up with for a few weeks now.

So long Jolene, good luck in your career! We will miss you!

Welcome, Amy!

I know this is an old post. Did she really leave? I just find another Jolene and she's gone already.

Good luck with your work and I think what you've chosen to do speaks volumes about you. Take care.
