I ordered a Moby Wrap today - any wearing instructions ?

I ordered my Moby Wrap today. I've never used a wrap before - only a ring sling, and briefly a Frankenkozy.

DD is 18 months old, and about 25-ish pounds. I am not comfortable with back carries, and she likes to nurse a LOT when we're out.

Can someone guide me to a site that shows how to use a wrap please ?

Come back and tell us how it works and which holds work for you. I've been considering a wrap and like the look of the Moby, but was thinking my 18mo would be too big for it....

slightly off topic

Angela, my guy was only 14 months on this Moby-walk, but he was pretty big and tall....we walked for over an hour and it was fine, and he fell to sleep as you can see. I still only wear him facing me; never let him get used to see what's in front of us.

Thanks! Is it really HOT? That's my other wrap concern. Hey, I live in Houston... have to be practical. Outside I can't even wear a mei tai for about 4-5 months, but there are only a couple of months that it's too hot to put on at the car and walk into the store how hot is the moby compared to a MT?

thanks!

Houston vs the Seattle area....the comparison is difficult.

I would never wear that black Moby during the summer. Not even in Seattle. If I were getting another, I'd get the cream colored one. It's like thick t-shirt fabric. And it's like 6 feet long. So it's wrapped around a bit.

But using the wearyourbaby, or whatever it's called now (I still get to it using mamatoto.org) instructions for wraps, I happily bought some lengths of plain old fabric, used the same tie as I use with the Moby, and made some much cooler (though far bulkier and more cumbersome) wraps...

OK that's not a big toddler, but it's the same wrap/tie as I use with the Moby, and it's far cooler than my black Moby.

I've been doing searches along the same line, and came across this on the Babywearer--doesn't sound like the Moby would be good for an older babe. Instead, (as far as stretchy wraps) they suggested a Hot Mama wrap or a Gypsy Mama stretch wrap.
