Seriously! I'm watching her slide down this insane icy course on her belly (on the skeleton sled thingy). Is this safe?

Doesnt sound safe to me, unless there is no way she can crash. I think what i understand about early pregnancy losses is that lifting heavy weights is unsafe. How this correlates to high speed movement i dont know , but if you can find a link to coverage on the web, post it!

most Dr's say that in the early months you can safely do pretty much anything you did before you became pregnant. Yes a crash can be dangerous, but not so much early on. There have been women who have won decathalons while pregnant, and that is much tougher on your body.

She's Diana Sartor from Germany, and she placed fourth.

This is all I can find on the web so far...

Me too! Wow. I was sick as a dog my second mo. of pregnancy--couldn't even THINK of trying to do anything physical. More power to her.

I couldn't inagine doing anything remotely harder than walking at this stage in my 2nd pregnancy!

Here is her german website - and here's a p ic of her as a toddler! But nothing about the preg. Apparently she is an optician who likes to play piano and paint.
