I am so glad to see someone else has been touched by His Noodly Appendage. I am quite sure that if we could somehow get a national law passed for Pastafarian Prayer to be offered every day, we'd see a quick end to pesky pirate problems. Well, we also have to reintroduce paddling and shaming for bad children, gays off the mountain and into the closet, FSM theory of creation, homemaking as the only viable option for women, the sadly maligned McCarthyism, and let's not forget segregation...of pirates and non-pirates, of course.

Amseiler - with all due respect, I am sick and tired of participating in a thread on the learning at school board on a subject that doesn't relate in anyway to homeschooling and having somebody drop-in to tell me how bad they think schools are... Your post was actually my final breaking point and after several years, I just can't be at MDC anymore with a school age child.

Good luck everybody,
BJ

wildmonkeys, You may be unaware that the OP was originally posted in learning at home and beyond, so the homeschoolers' comments were entirely relevant. The mods moved it here. You may also want to notice that the OP has only 1 post and has moved on.

In the South, they still get away with the "moment of silence". My kids use it as chance to think about whatever they want. They certainly aren't praying.

Hey, don't get upset. This thread was originally on the homeschooling board when she posted. I moved it because a thread on prayer in school doesn't apply to homeschooling.

I am sorry that I didn't pay closer attention to where this was posted.

OTOH - I think my response is an indication of how I am really feeling on MDC since my sweet boy started school.

Again, I am sorry that my response was mismatched to this thread.
