Bathing

What do you wash your babies heads with? My DS hair is getting oily and I'm concerned about using anything other than water--plus we have very chlorinated municipal water that dries out the rest of his body, but not his hair.

Baking soda. I should prolly rinse with vinegar, but I never do.

Her hair is so cute after a bath, like a downy baby chick! I call her my lil downy bird, cause she's so fluffy.

Persephone -- love the qupte in your signature

I haven't really washed any of my kids to be honest. NOt until they wer eolder. I did rub a Burt's Bees Shampoo bar in my hand last time I put the baby in the tub with me, just to smell pretty. His hair was "washed" with water, probably got some of the stuff on there. He has almost no hair though (he's a fuzzy dude, sort of). My other boys had very long thickish hair as newborns even so I did have to wash it, a little. Oops, gotta jet.

Namaste, Tara

A and I don't bathe more than once or twice a week, so by the time I get around to it, we're pretty greasy! I've done baking soda on him (and myself), but I really like the yummy-smelling fluffy downy hair from using California Baby shampoo.

I use a lavendar baby wash made by J/A/S/O/N when I bathe her. To be honest, I spot clean her most of the time and we only bath once a week. She's got dry skin and aside from her fingers, bum, chub folds and face, just doesn't need it.

Soraya has only had a handful of baths so far, but she really enjoys them. I second the Cal Baby shampoo/body wash. I use the super sensitive stuff with no fragrance for her.
