"What's Happening Tp My Body For Girls" They have one for boys too. We also liked the "The Period Book"

There's one by Dr. Ruth (Dr. Ruth Westheimer), too, that was recommended on another thread for boys. I haven't had a chance to check it out yet, so I can't lend personal recommendations, but you might look for that one, too!

I don't know if you're still checking this thread, but that new moon mag. sounds interesting. Could you tell me the age group that it is good for. Do they have a website?

As a follow-up book for when she is a little older (maybe 13?), I would recommend _Our Bodies, Ourselves_.

It might be a little young for her but...

We loved "It's So Amazing". I gave it to my son right after he turned 8 in follow-up to a discussion we had. It hits all the mechanics in a fun way, and also has information on alternative families, masturbation, etc.
