When DS was about 2 months old, I was nursing him in a booth at dairy queen (where my DH was a manager at the time). There was an older guy, probably 60, who was a regular there that I'd known for years. He sat down at the booth to talk to me. I was a little nervous, but he didn't seem to notice I was nursing. Then out of the blue, he said, "ya know, breastmilk is the best food that money can't buy."

So true.

Then he said something about how his mom had nursed all of them and he was healthy as a horse. He was, too. He walked miles everyday. He would walk to DQ for a dilly bar, then to Pizza hut where he worked, then back home again. Pretty good for 60.

Oh yeah, I've never had a negative experience other than a few stares.
