"Best" Carrier to use while pregnant?

Hello!
I am still slinging my 25lb dd and am wondering what the "best" carrier to use while pregnant with another is. I have a Hotsling but dd is too big for the size I have (gotta love her chubby thighs! ), a Maya wrap that I really like for short trips but 25lbs of baby really kills my shoulder after a while , and a Kozy that I use most of the time. I am thinking the Kozy will do OK until I am hugely pregnant...I just don't know...Any thoughts? What did you use during pregnancy???

I'm thinking a Mai Tye (sp? nak) Might be best.....That's off the top of my head! You can even get one custom made be a WAHM to make sure the tails will be long enought for your beautiful belly!

Well, being 33 weeks pg and still carrying my 22 pound DD... I *LOVE* my Mei Tai, in the back carry. I can't really carry her on my hip anymore--her knee digs into my belly, and it totally throws off my back to have extra weight in that spot. On my back, I've worn her for 2 hours with no problems!

What's the best carrier to use while pg? A stroller!

Seriously, I didn't do a lot of babywearing after my first trimester- it was just too hard on my back, and my oldest (the only one who was still being worn/nursed/slept with while I was pg again) was very petite. I had my sling and my Sara's Ride (do they still make those even?) but I couldn't use either of them for very long while pg.

Not to detract from any pg babywearers out there, but pointing out that wearing your baby while hugely pg may not be an option for you, depending on how your body reacts.

Hehe Doesn't quite seem like a fair trade, but not a bad deal lol

I came here to ask the sae question, but after reading Ruth's post I realized my back hurts already, so why torture myself by putting my 30lb dd in a carrier. Maybe I should see which carrier would best fit my dh

I actually like carrying DD on my back--it evens out the weight. It is getting difficult to do it for an extended period of time though.
