don't wanna jinx it, but...

she's been sleeping through the ENTIRE night. i'm talking..goes to bed at around 10pm for good, wakes up at 7. : two nights ago it was 10-7, last night was 11-7. both times she nurses for a few minutes at 7 and then goes BACK to sleep (just fell back asleep now) until around 9. yesterday she took a jilllion naps too...not sure what today has in store re: naps...

my boobs are like rocks in the morning, but she seems so much happier during the day. i'm not sure which came first...she's been happier in general for the past week or so...but only sleeping this great for 2 nights so i guess that's my answer LOL. i guess she's working through whatever "issues" she's had in the past and is sleeping better because of it?

anyway, just wanted to share my glee. of course my little stinker of a dog has been waking me up TWICE in the middle of the night to go out. WHY?? i have no idea. so dave will be taking him upstairs with him to bed from now on. i need some loooooong runs of sleep for pete's sake!

oh, and she's sleeping in her little moses basket instead of on top of me. these are all great things, imo. i love sleeping with her on me but she doesn't sleep as well/long like that. she really seems to prefer to be in her own little space.

last night, she was really tired (falling asleep on her little gymini mat LOL) so i just placed her in the moses basket to see what she'd do...she immediately closed her eyes and conked out. my sweetie pie....

That's great, Michele! Sleep, baby, sleep!

Drew has had a few nights where I think he'll sleep though... but I wake him up to nurse. Am I an idiot or what?! Now that I'm back at work and pumping during the day, I'm afriad if he doesn't BF at night my milk supply might be negatively affected. Do you all know anything about this?

Michelle that's great. I confess to being really jealous but I'm sure that we'll get there. They are so small for such a short time, and now that I've figured she doesn't like dairy who knows what will happen.

She's going to bed at 7pm, so at least I get some baby free time in the evenings, but she wakes up when dh takes his shower (the water runs through the wall right by her bed and there's nowhere else in our room for it - and we have a waterbed so she can't sleep with us) Anyway I'm hoping she'll get used to it soon, and I think I'll go out and buy some heavier curtains for summer!! She's a good excuse to redecorate

Long may Ava continue to sleep through the night.

that's awesome!!! reed goes to sleep between 10-11 and sleeps until around 4am, wakes to nurse, sleeps until 6:30, nurses, sleeps til 8. it's soooo much better than how carter slept, so i'm in heaven!

keep up the great sleep, ava!

yeah i remember feeling so jealous of others whose babes slept well, through the night, fell asleep easily (that was the REAL clincher) when rowan was a baby. my lord. he STILL gives us problems trying to put him to bed and he's 3!!
not to scare anybody. i'll shut up about that now.

I'm so happy for you, Michelle. It's so hard to have a fussy baby who won't sleep. Here's hoping it's a change Ava's made for the long haul!

Thats awesome. Sada still wakes to nurse anywhere from 1-3 times per night. I am back to work and I work nights so teh schedule is all screwy....but I was thrilled when she started just nursing and going right back to sleep.

I can't believe our little ones are so big already!!!

Oh, you're sooo lucky! It seems that Simon is waking more frequently now than he had been. He was going from 11pm to 3am, then 6 or so, but now won't go for longer than 3 hours the first stretch. And now he's waking up almost every hour after 4am! I think it's usually because of gas but then I have to nurse him to sleep anyway. I can't even remember what happened last night - it's all a blur .

BUT - i STILL woke up THREE FRIGGIN TIMES!!! WHY??? why can't my body just STAY asleep!!! she stirred a couple of times, which i guess is why i woke up, but SHE never woke up. just ME! i'm so annoyed with myself!!!

I know that feeling. I've been sleeping really badly recently, not being able to sleep untill about 12.30, when Aveena is just due to wake up.

At least she's still sleeping the same though.
