making a pouch?

I need a pouch for around the house and just can't afford to buy one new, or find one used in my size. I am a hotslings size 1 apparently.

I have fabric coming out of my ears so I must be able to make one, right?

How on earth do I do it, or measure for it? I just want simple pouch, I ahve an awesome abc for out of the house but need something I can pop a baby into in a rush while I am doing stuff.
