Nasty little commentary on breastfeeding - Page 3

Here's my issue. The gov't is "presumably" paying for BF counseling and it will be "costly". What about the WIC offices across America paying out at least hundreds of thousands of $$$ in formula every month. The help to BF is really a more costly endeavour? Hummm. Let me give that one a thought.

I'm a conservative Christian nursing my 27 month old while pregnant. Charlotte Allen *is* ignorant and misinformed. LLL was founded by Catholic women and I assume they had various political views including conservative. So, it's really not a liberal vs. conservative issue and I would expect that any reasonable person who truly understood the benefits of BF for mom & baby to put aside political or other agendas to promote what is *right*.

They don't care about "right" - they just want to sell more formula and justify doing it.

argh - let's all start writing to them - see if we can get her to issue a retraction.

OMG, that was unbelievable.

I didn't know LLL had so much power to bully the WHO.

Can I please join one of your hippie communes? I could use some help with the laundry, cleaning, childcare, gardening, etc., etc., etc...

Wouldn't it be so nice if LLL really had such widespread influence? In our dreams.

Fer cryin' out loud. What an idiot.

FWIW, I really don't think breastfeeding has anything to do with one's political positions (i.e. liberal vs. conservative). Hippie communes aside and all.

Which ones? I am not having any luck finding it on the ingredients list.
