Pee vs. carpet

Can anyone tell me the best way to clean up a pee puddle when you have carpets? DD is almost 15 months and I'd like to give her more nakey time but the thing that stops me is the pee issue. Until now, I've used Resolve, which I hate! I don't like the smell or spraying those nasty chemicals onto my carpet while my child is standing right there (she's very curious about the cleaning up pee, lol.)

Blot the pee, and then spray a mixture of vinegar and water on the spot. When it dries, if the odour remains spray a mixture of 2 cups water, 2 tsp lemon juice and 2 tsp baking soda. This mixture neutralises odours. You can use it around your whole house like some people woould use febreese.
