My best friend in the world (met in the first grade), mamasittingduck
Sherri from San Diego, has been posting here with all you beautiful
February 2006 Mama's.
She just called. She is in the hospital, and will not be getting the
water birth with the midwife. Nothing is really serious, my mind was
swimming when she called so I didn't catch every detail. They just
want to monitor her, and they are talking about wanting to induce.

Please say a prayer for her. That although her plan is changing that
she can have as natural a birth as possible. This was so important
to her. The Doctors seem to really be listening to her about her
birth plan and are giving good options. No bully Doctors. Still I am
praying for her, and I thought that the more to send good energy
and prayers out into the universe for her and her baby the better.

But Baby girl was born, and is healthy. So is
Mama.

I felt so out of sorts being so far in Pa while my very
best friend was in Cali that the only thing I felt I could
do was ask for positive thoughts.

Hello all....well, my babe finally made it to the world, but in a much different way than I anticipated. I ended up having a c-section after laboring a full day on pitocin...I have been very very anxious adjusting to this new life and am not ready yet to write my whole story. However, I do have a healthy, beautiful little girl, who was 9 pounds even and 19 3/4 inches long.
