I am so impressed! I think this is a great idea. I wish my nurses had been more knowledgeable about breastfeeding when I had my first. I had to call in an outside LC and pay for the consultation myself. Not to mention waking up and finding a nurse giving a bottle of formula to my breastfed DS one morning! I cried I was so upset. She said that his blood sugar got low so she had to! UG! I was sooooo upset! Within an an hour after birth a nurse was trying to push formula at us, not help us breastfeed.

Well, we showed them. He breastfed for 2 years and 10 months! I hope my daughter will do the same!

That's a useful site. Thanks for posting. We had a similar experience in the hospital where I had DD. They were all about the formula :

The birth center I used with my dd is Baby Friendly, which was one of my reasons for choosing it. I was suprised to see 2 other hospitals/birth centers in the state though.

Yup, I love that site.

DD was supposed to be born at Peacehealth Midwifery just over 7 years ago.

Of course, where DS was born was even more baby friendly (home)
