I keep calling them wings--is that what you call them? Or tabs? Anyway, the things you put the hook part of aplix on.
I know at least boscopup has had this problem and I wonder how common it is. The wings are so tall that they droop over when snapped. (Would this still happen as much with aplix, since it's wider?) (She linked to a picture of this in this thread. Thanks, Vera, hope you don't mind me using you as an example
)
So I've made a diaper but my newborn is not here yet to try it out. I have only seen one other picture of a newborn in a VB dipe and that is Jessica's baby on the Tallulah Baby site: http://www.tallulahbaby.com/index.ph...1/prevstart/0/
(Click on the square that says: Click to see diaper on a newborn).
It looks fantastic on her baby--a perfect fit. But of course I have no way of knowing if my baby will be shaped like Jessica's or Vera's! Or if maybe it's different (more likely to be too tall) in different sizes. (What size is your son wearing, Vera?)
So, for all those who have tried out the VB fitted on a baby, esp. a newborn, but any size really, what is your experience with the wings?
And if I hear enough people say they are too tall, would it work to just make the wings smaller by tracing around a smaller circle, placed right in the middle of the wing? And then tapering it off to meet the elastic anchor point? That doesn't seem to complicated, but that's what worries me--I might be missing something important. What do you think?
