Sopranos Fans - Page 2

I am so excited!! I had family over tonight, made lasagna and all of the trimmings and we toasted Tony

OK, my predictions for who gets whacked: Phil (one of Johnny Sack's crew - Diet Tony, aka Steve Buschemi, killed his brother in season 6) or maybe the really big guy that Finn (Meadow's man) caught, um, *servicing* a security guard in the construction site parking lot....but I'm leaning towards Phil.

It's almost on!! (and Big Love looks good too!!)

No freakin' way! Oh, my goodness.......

10:01 est. One minute after The Sopranos went off.

OMG. OMG. OMG. OMG.

It was a decent start to the season. In the past, I always felt like the episodes tended to get more intense over the course of the season. I am sure that this season won't be any different.

Yay for the breastfeeding shot and references!! And a 15-month-old to boot! Of course, Janice is still a nut case.

I love this show, watched it tonight and...

OMG

I also thought it was cool they showed breasfeeding, so cool

I thought it was hilarious when she said, all he ever wants is the breast. I am so proud of them for highlighting her nursing, even though she is a nut. I didn't quite catch the baby's name.

So, does anyone think it was delusion on the shooter's part or part of an insanity defense?
I definitely think it was delusion. The way he reacted afterward -- he looked so scared, so lost, so confused. It was really pitiful. I actually felt really sorry for the guy and wanted to give him a hug.

Of course, the victim won't die. But the next few episodes will be great in terms of power struggles among everyone else.

One of the reasons I love this show is that it does NOT glamorize violence or the Mob. All of the characters are at times despicable, and almost always pathetic in so many ways -- no sane viewer would ever want to be caught up in their world.

What a great series. Sigh. This show is an art form all to itself -- and I am one HUGE snob.

The baby's name is Nica.

Poor Bobby, you couldn't pay me to marry Janice. Did you notice Tony's other sister was back too?

You guys are good so I won't wreck the end either. Imagine if the victim dies, omg what a surprise.

I still wonder if Christopher is upset about Adrianna, he didn't seem to be. I thought for sure we'd see him back on drugs.

Can you remind me? Who did Finn catch receiving a BJ?
Well, he was, er, the giver. And it was Vito. I believe the receiver was a security guard at the site.
do you guys think he is dead? Man......first episode and all! I mean, there's still alot of stories to tell, but I cant believe theyd kill him off first episode.

AND NO NEXT WEEK PREVIEWS! argh.....
Subbing...
I'd be shocked if he's dead. But...you never know.
I agree that it was delusional.
Loved the breastfeeding shot (up close, too!) and was thrilled when Janice pointed out the age of the baby.
I felt ill from the whole Eugene thing.
There's no way he's dead. We've got 17 episodes to go before this series ends. If it was closer to the end, then perhaps. But not now, not so soon.
Ditto on the Gene thing. Ick!

On the other, well, it was a shot to the gut, so not likely fatal unless EMS doesn't get there in time and he bleeds to death. But, still plot-wise, that would never happen.

Poor Junior, he really needed to be in a home. He's had dementia for a long time now.
faked dementia is a possibitity, or at least enhanced, especially given that his dementia started out faked. also given the mentions of the mother's homicidal desires and her possibly faked dementia.

there is a theory that this was the last, or next to last episode, chronologically, not the first. i doubt it. though if this is in fact the end i would guess that this character will not live to see said end.

but i have a lot of theories when we're all ready for that.

loved the bf-ing. so janice really.

i was unshocked by the whole gene thing, none of it shocked me.

though the shooting didn't surprise me either, actually.

Junior's not faking it anymore. That's kind of the irony I think. Remember when he wandered off and the cops had to bring him home?

He's definitely not faking it.

i just don't trust that he wouldn't be less lucid when he could be more, if you know what i mean? i do think he is genuninely senile. i just don't trust how senile.

hiding in the closet could be remorse.

btw, i don't know if i really think this or am just playing devils advocate.

I don't think Junior's faking it, either. I've seen so many people lose their pasts to dementia...it's harder for me to see old people get incapacitated than it is children, because they know what they're losing. How terrifying would that be?

The scene in the garage was horrible. Before that, I was sitting there yelling at the wife, "Give the guy a break - you know what he does for a living!". I understand getting your hopes up, but there's no need to be a witch about it.

I don't think Carmela's going to be too tight with her dad from here on out. That spec house ain't lookin' so hot.

i actually thought the wife was going to shoot gene.

there are some intersting crosses between junior and carmela's father. her father seemed quite out of touch, really.

OK, Katebleu, you totally lost me on this. What do you mean?

I was surprised that Janice had had a baby and that she is still bf'ing (really that she bf'd at all!). She has always seemed so self-centered to me and remember she didn't really seem to enjoy or get along with her step-kids either.

Dh and I couldn't believe the way Gene's wife was treating him. Didn't she know his 'career' was literally life and death? That he just couldn't up and quit without major (most likely deadly) repurcussions?

I don't think 'the victim' will die. It was made really clear that he was shot in the abdomen. Even if he isn't able to speak to the 911 operator, they will dispatch someone anyway. My guess is that next episode will open with him being released from the hospital and Junior in prison. I think one of the reasons they didn't show a teaser for the season or next week's episode is because it would obviously include scenes with 'the victim' in them, and then we wouldn't be left to wonder whether ' the victim' lives or dies.
