she arrived by scheduled c-section at 8:08 am on the 23rd.....she was breech and despite prayers - frozen veggies on my tummy and the chiropractor she chose to stay that way! she was born weighing 6 pounds 12 ounces and the c-section was nice and quick, though scary since it was my first. my dh was able to be right there with me, and cut the cord....my ds and mom were right in the waiting room and within an hour we were all together in recovery nursing.....the pain has not been bad AT ALL, just difficult moving myself around...the hospital was amazing! it really is a birth center in a hospital and my ds and dh stayed with me and the baby the whole stay - it was like being in a great and pro- breastfeeding hotel!!!
the tandem part of nursing is going great! he does not mind sharing at all - and actually the breast she prefers is not the one he prefers, so that works out niceley....she is just now starting to establish a good nursing pattern which has been frustrating for me, but seems to be getting better.....my recovery with ds was so fast it was crazy - so this c-section recovery is hard, but not as bad as i imagined.
congratulations to all the other february mamas out there!!!!
and i know i am waaaaaaay premature - coz we will not be working on baby number 3 for like 2 and half to 3 years - but i would l love to hear about anyone that did a vbac this time.........
