I was doing research on our upcoming trip to Holland and suprisingly, a gov.-based Web site has tips on bfing and traveling.

I thought this statement was very funny for some reason. Thought you'd like the laugh.

"Breast milk does not need to be declared at US Customs when returning to the United States."

Uh...OK.

No, it's a good thing to know. Carrying biological stuff (cow's milk for example) across international borders can be fussy sometimes

I would suppose that someone might have a question if it is pumped and in a storage container.

You know it has to have been an issue at some point

I am glad to see the statement

give that it is a body fliud

and "possibl;e bio-hazard"

it is nice to know

i am sure there could be big issues crossing a boarder.

but

it does make a funny line.

It is a good thing to explicitly state, I'm sure there's some customs agent boob who would give you a hard time if it weren't....

But I still laughed when I read that

Actually, post 9/11 there were several incidents of pumped BM issues at airports--mostly security, they made the mom drink the milk, etc. So, it's nice that there is a statement about customs (which I realise is diff. from airport security).
