It burns my mouth and especially my tongue. I don't have trouble with other mint products; in fact I love mint in foods. And I don't have trouble with non-mint toothpastes. It is specifically mint toothpaste. Why is this? And am I the only one? I just can't understand why nearly every single toothpaste out there is mint.
(And floss too!)
So recently I found Doctor Burt's Children's Orange Cream Toothpaste, and since using it my root canal tooth and my crown tooth, which have been bothering me for months, all of a sudden aren't bothering me anymore. Coincidence? It's just weird.
So what the heck is in these toothpastes that is hurting me?

I don't think it's the fluoride, because Desert Essence toothpaste does it to me too, and it doesn't have fluoride.
