my DD has 4 teeth and weights 17lbs, she'll be 7mos on the 23rd!
We're not doing any vitamin supps, nor did i during my pregnancy. I have no cavities at all(I think it's genetic and I chew xylitol gum). I live in the Pacific NorthWest and I still think I get enough Vitamin D from the sun, especially during my pregnancy in the summer...my diet is fully balanced with whole grains, veggies, fruits, nuts, legumes, I'm a complete avocado freak, and fortified soy milk(Silk Plain)no, I'm not vegan, I eat local free-range organic eggs and yogurt too!
DD eats on average maybe 4 tbs of solids a day. I too freeze my own in icecube trays, I read somewhere you shouldn't use jars becasue of the breaking factor, and with the tray I can stack them, break them out and then label a ziplock bag. (Super Baby food by Ruth Yaron). When DD has had enough she simply doesn't open her mouth.
If your baby is gaining well, i don't think you should worry about how much. I like the icecube method becasue each icecube is about 2 tbs, so I can mix and match and not be too wasteful, and I usually eat the left overs.
hope this helps-ok, I'm up early pumping so I can attend a yoga workshop! 5 days!!!!!(coming home at lunch to bf)My hubby has the time off, I feel so blessed!!!
