dd has just started seriously being silly! i love it
. a very silly friend just visited for a couple of days. dd thought she was the funniest thing ever and cracked up just looking at her
. luckily, it's carried over and she is laughing so much more now. it is sooo cute and just makes my heart want to explode with love
. before she would laugh on occasion, but now life is a funny, funny thing
and now she is enjoying tummy time. go figure
. we started having more of a morning playtime in bed when we wake up...she really likes to hold on to our waists if we're side-lying and pull herself up to standing. she'll hang out and pull up, plop down, spin around for as long as we'll let it go on. i think it's really strengthened her arms and legs and now she can get more comfortable with tummy time, as she can push way up and get the legs more involved. just a few moments ago i put her down on her tummy with a book and some toys in front of her, just out of reach. well she had no interest (or ability) in moving forward yet, but she decided she now knows how to cruise backwards...pretty quickly! ah-oh
i've been trying to get her to say mama, since she's all about dadadada...so i say, "say mama...mama...ma..ma" and she looks intently, mouths her lips around trying to figure it out, and grins real big and says "DADA!"
oh yeah, real funny. she did look at thunder kitty the other day and say, "ki", but it's a one time event so far.
got out x country skiing yesterday. thought about the sling, mtnsunshinemama, but i'm not, umm, good. i can ski and snowboard like nobody's business, but i pretty much suck at x country skiing. so i opted for the sled. she loved it, totally napped for a while, just chilled and enjoyed the quiet and the trees. and she thought it was extremely funny when i fell smack on me arse
having friends come up, and getting outside, has been great for the ppd and sad. i also really need to exercise more. motivation, come on!!! need to get into a bathing suit for our hawaii trip in may
: too bad i can't rig up something where i could stationary bike with my keyboard in front...or the bike could power the computer...but i'm definately not that savvy.
puddingpop - i love the new pics...super cute little man at the wedding!
well, peace out, mamas...have a lovely march 16th!
