Am I the only one who thought 'cindy' (is her name cindy? Hurley's girl?) was acting very strange when she was working with Claire?

She's an Other. I know it's been mentioned on another thread, but I watched last night for her reactions, and she looked guilty!!!

Wasn't there a shot of her on the plane? I thought that she walked by someone (in their flashback) on the plane. If she is an Other, it would explain why she was so freaked out when Claire freaked out. I mean, wouldn't she be used to that kind of thing if she knew how to make people remember things? I would've expected her to be more calm about the whole thing.

Cindy was on the plane. Hurley stepped on her foot as he went to his seat. I do think, though, that something is not right about her. I'm not sure about her past as a clinical psychologist. I really thought she was going to show up as a patient in Hurley's flashback, but no luck.

I also forgot about how muffled the sounds were when Sayid was with Gale. I think he would have protested more when Eko was talking to him if he truly wasn't an Other.

Also, liked the mention of Stephen King. lol. Since there is supposed to be some connection between Lost and The Stand and all.

He definitely came out of the ocean with everyone else.

Sun being pg is not a shock/surprise. It was foreshadowed the episode after Sun and Jin were reunited, though not enough time has passed from that to her being able to take a pg test. Plus i"m not sure there was alot of nookie going on between Sun and Jin after he found out she spoke English. Sun is just hoping that Sawyer has a pg test. She is SOOOOOOOO pg though.

It's possible she got pg before they got on the plane. They've been there less than two months so it's possible she may only be noticing it now. A stretch, though. the next new episode is about sun and Jin so maybe it will be explained there.

As far as a test being on the plane, in season one someone notes that the "newlywed couple" (who died in the crash) must have been trying to get pregnant because there were a lot of tests found in their luggage. Not sure why Sawyer has them...

Jack, sure Roseola is a very common virus............perhaps in civilized countries not on a island that nobody knows about. This seemed a little farfetched to me. At least he didn't give the baby antibiotics. Personally I was thinking the baby got poison ivy or something like that somehow.lol

That's exactly what I was thinking!! I was kind of surprised to hear Jack say we'll let the fever run it's course. He scored some points with me for that.

Where *is* their plane? I know they burned it but seriously that much metal would not have melted. Even if it did there should be a pile of metal somewhere. I know they took pieces of it here and there but there's a large chunk of plane, engines, etc that have disappeared.

In an episode in season one the tide very suddenly comes up and is washing away the section of beach where they were first camped out. So they move further up the beach.

Cindy was presummed taken by the others just b4 AL shot Shannon. Libby is Hurley's crush. She used to be on the Drew Carey Show (Libby that is).

Eko did come out of the ocean but have we seen him on the plane? If the Others are interfering with the signals of things and making them crash, maybe they knew that the plane was coming and Eko saw it hit the water and then raced into the ocean as it was going down or something so that he could be remembered in the water? A little far-fetched but possible.

I agree, that's what I was thinking. He may not have raced in while it was going down, but with everyone being disoriented it is plausible that he went in after it hit

Yes she could have gotten pg then. I am also thinking that it is possible that the stress of the crash, Jin and all has delayed ovulation but I doubt they'd write that in.lol

I doubt the writers thought ahead on what to do with the baby for food. Though with all the food in the bunker I'm sure they could have come up with some sort of formula for the baby and spoon or cup fed it. Claire could have expressed enough to feed the baby too.

I tivo'd the episode and we didn't watch it till last night, so I've been skipping over this thread 'cause I have so much self control...

And why does the actress who plays Claire have to look so good? You just about fall into her eyes when she looks up.

I didn't think it was a bitchy comment. Sun seemed to get emotional because either she was pg before and lost it or due to her new pg and Claire picked up on that. It seemed to me it that Claire's question was more concern over whether Sun had/has children somewhere in the pre-crash world.

From what I gather (and you all have probably already come to this - I'm slow these days!) the Others will infect you if you are around them. This explains all the quarantine stuff everywhere. And why Rousseau had to kill her shipmates. At some point, Rousseau and her shipmates must have lived with or had contact with the Others and they became infected. So she killed them. That's why when Claire was with them, Ethan said she had to leave because there wasn't enough vaccine for both of them. Claire would have gotten infected had she stayed. This may also explain why they want children. Maybe they are dying out or something and children keep them going.

I'm just thinking out loud........

That may be true. Maybe Dharma isn't an experiment as much as it is an island that scientists sent off some people that had this highly contagious, crazy disease. Of course, that would mean I'd have to give up my purgatory theory and I'm not ready to do that yet!

Speaking of Ethan and Claire, I don't know if we covered this yet but does anyone think that when Claire drank that bitter stuff that maybe it was a vaccine?

Ok, that makes sense. I guess I was thinking that he would've given her a shot before they left so I was trying to think of what else it could be, but it falls into place better for it to be a drug.

Why didn't Rousseau get sick.

I thought the stuff in the canteen was drugged up water, to keep Claire loopy.

I agree, especially since Ethan sniffed it but didn't taste it after Claire said it didn't taste good.

Maybe she works for the Others? Maybe they hold her dd to get her to work for them (connecting with the people from the plane,etc). Or maybe she stole some vaccine? Or maybe nobody is sick at all, its just in their minds.

Or maybe she just didn't get sick. Not everyone gets a virus when it goes around. Some people are sturdier (and she certainly seems sturdy!) or some people have natural immunity (think The Stand)......
