big tooth coming in before baby tooth out?

Dd will be 6 in april. She's got a couple of loose teeth that have been loose for a while. I was checking one that is getting pretty loose and noticed on the bottom, she's got a big tooth coming in behind her baby teeth (in the front). Is this an issue or will the baby tooth fall out eventually?

Anyone?

This happened with my oldest. I was worried too but the dentist assured me it was a variation of normal. If the baby teeth hadn't come loose within 6m or something he would talk about extracting them, but it didn't come to that.

Cool. That's what I thought, but wanted to check.

Thanks.

It is a various on normal but it also can be a sign of a problem. My dd roots didn't "desolve". We have had several teeth removed that are "full" teeth.

Give it a month or so and then talk to a dentist.

I remember that happening to me when I was little. My adult front teeth started coming in behind my baby teeth. I didn't know what it was and was convinced there was a stump growing in my mouth! Everything straightened out on its own for me.

I was just at the dentist last night with my 7yo. His bottom front 2 are loose and the adult ones are through and behind them.

His dentist said that as long as the baby teeth are loose, there shouldn't be a problem, and that teeth become loose as the root dissolves. He said to keep wiggling, and that the new teeth will move into place once the old ones are gone.
