This one is the worst reason ever - Page 2

yeah, penises look funny but have you taken a mirror and got a good look at your vulva lately?? I think God was giving us a test like "How bad do you want it?" when She came up with the design plans for the sex organs.

I always remember the line in the movie "Sweet Dreams" which is the life story of singer Patsy Cline. Her boyfriend is coming on strong to her and she accuses him of only wanting one thing. He said "If I just wanted to bump uglies with you, I'd go find someone else." I thought that was a pretty funny thing to say

This topic is great

If we have a boy I will protect him with my life to not get circed. My honey wants it done, my mom says that an intact penis is gross and that she will never have sex with a guy who is intact cause it looks like a dogs penis, this is what ai grew up on, then I educated myself about it all and I am against circ. I was a studen midwife for a while and I gave a book to a woman who was on the fence, she needed to read all about it, gave it to hubby to read too and thenthey both decided to get it done anyways. It didnt bother me so much as the parents who decide to get it done blindly, at least these parents had the facts.
Honey says that forskin has gone the way of appendices (sp?), tonsels, and wisdom teeth, they are not needed and therefore dont cause a problem when removed....but we both have our tonsels and appensices, and I have 2 wisdome teeth left and no ailments of my body from them so I dont see the point.
My mom argues with me because I had labiaplasty (my labia was really long and bothersome so I had some of it removed), she says how can I get that done and not circ my son? I reply "Becasue I am 25 years old and I this causes me pain and discomfort where as a foreskin is protective and totally different anatomy than you!"

Anne Frey a well know midwife author compares male circ with female genital mutalation. I say that God made our genitals the way they are for a reason and unless your Jewish (though some are opting to forgo this procedure) then there is no point in getting circed. As a matter of fact in the Old Test. the Rabbis actually just snipped the foreskin, they didnt remove it until decades later when the jewish boys were opening their scars to fuse the foreskin back together so they could pretend they werent jewish and play in the greek games. Then the Rabbis started removing the foreskin.

Anyways I am still working on honey to get him to agree to no circ, I just cant do that. i wish I could take him into the hospital and let him watch a few but I would probably be tempted to grab those babies an run for the hills to protect them.

--Riki mommy to be in late june, going to protect baby from circ with my life.

Why don't you show your hubby the circ video???? I could barely even watch it through the tears in my eyes

I absolutely hate when people tell me "but not having your son circumsized increases your risk of infection". I don't buy it. It's so dumb because kids can get tonsilitis, apendisitis, etc etc but we don't go chopping out the tonsils and appendix just in case some day they become infected. So stupid!

On a side note...I've known a few women whove been with intact guys and didn't find out until later....as the guy had been at attention long before the act actually happened. Erect they look similar...so I don't even get why it is an issue in a non-erect state for appearance. IMHO I think the natural penis is more visually appealing with the moisture and color differences.

Having been with an intact guy, I have to wonder.... I guess I'm just more observant because they may LOOK similar but give it a few seconds and you can tell they don't function the same!

Taking out the tonsils, appendix and wisdom teeth are medical practises that hove now been shown to cause harm. The tonsils are an important first line of defense against infections in the body. If a person has inflamed tonsils, that's a sign that the body is working to protect the heart, lungs and other vital organs. Removing tonsils is like taking a gun and shooting out the red warning light on the dash board of your car.

The appendix is not a redundant organ. It is very important in the production of lymph in the body. Again, part of the immune system, helps prevent cancer.

Even dentists are now rethinking the routine removal of the wisdom teeth.

We do not know many things about the human body and many mistakes in understanding have occurred.

I remember my dentist many years ago told me to get my WT removed because they supposedly growing in crooked.21 yrs later they are still there and causing no problems.

On that note, I had my wisdom teeth removed when I was 18. I had absolutely NO problems with my teeth but the dentist told me I would. So I had all 4 pulled...and had to have 2 subsequent surgeries to try and correct a jaw problem resulting from getting them pulled. And the surgeries never fixed it

ack!
don't say these things!
my husband just got his removed on monday!...he is in pain tonight. I'm sad when he hurts.

I never knew that!

Wow new information everyday. I never knew that about tonsels and apendences, I know that my bottom wt had to come out they were growing under my back molars, but the crappy low level Navy dentist did it in boot camp. I never had a more horrific experience, it was nessarry but not like that and I was the kid that like the dentist. My tops are staying they are unnoticable. I havent brough the subject about circ up to dh again, as the last time it became a big fight and we swore not to talk about it until we knew what the baby was, since we are waiting for birth I have time to make my case. I will win, I have won on the vaxs, won on cd, exclusivly bf with no bottles for 6 months (pumping to mix with solids after that), and co-sleeping. I will win this one!!!

Riki- working on being crunchy mommy to be in June

The video "The Prepuce" that is available to view for free on the Doctors Opposing Circumcision site goes through the importance of all the organs that physicians once thought redundant (including the foreskin, of course). Every part of the human body has a function and importance.

I would have thought that as well, one of them said it was quite dark, and he was using a condom. The other one uses condoms as well, so I guess if they never actually "handled things" that's why they never noticed.

I am seriously wondering if using the condom might have also affected the "gliding" action as well.

Momma to two precious girls born at home and our amazingly perfect new baby boy born at home, in the caul, posterior with the cord wrapped twice around the neck. Still, two months later I am amazed at how perfectly the human body works !

Hey, Phatcristy, I love your signature line...congrats on your birth history. When I read the part about your son's birth I had this interpretation:

in the caul=mom ate a good diet and the caul (membranes) is part of the baby's body so, with this strong a caul, every other part of his body is strong, too.

posterior=indicates mom has a nice, roomy pelvis that has been stretched naturally twice. Baby boy had no need to turn so he just made his entrance face to pubes.

cord wrapped twice around the neck=smart baby who had a longish cord and knew that wrapping it around the neck twice like a long scarf would prevent it from prolapsing down in front of the head should the membranes release before the head was engaged.

Baybee that is a wonderful outlook. I really liked what you posted. Its very positive, most people talk about the cord being wrapped around a babys neck like it was a dire emergency and totally horrible, these are mostly hospital births, people dont know that its very common to have a cord around their neck. I really like what you said though its great.

To me, it's the smart babies who wrap their cords around the neck. It's like going on a ski tow rope with a long, dangly scarf---you want to make sure it's wrapped around a few times and tucked in so that it doesn't get caught in any equipment. Drs like to tell parents that they're lucky they had a cesarean because the cord was around the neck. They know damn well that means nothing but it makes the parents go away thinking the medical profession saved the day. It's a way to keep people hooked into the system.
