Many two-year-olds in Ontario fall behind in their vaccination schedules, even though they often visit their doctor, a new study suggests.

CBC News

"Despite universal access to primary care services, rates of complete immunization coverage among two-year-old children in Ontario are low," the researchers concluded after looking at immunization rates of 101,570 infants born in urban areas in the province between July 1, 1997, and June 31, 1998.

The Public Health Agency of Canada is working on a national registry to track immunization rates across the country.

The study appears in the March issue of the journal Pediatrics.

I didn't know they were working on a nat'l registry. Crap!

One day, there will be a world-wide one I am sure..... : which naturally has nothing to do with those who are, but everything to do with those who aren't.

I wouldn't object to nat'l registries if they were used for something useful, like over all health, anything that happens after vaccines: that sort of stuff, but just to track those who don't?

There is nothing "scientific" about that at all. That is just big-brother compliance ensurance.
