Strong feeling this is a boy... what do you think of this name?

I am CONVINCED that I'm having a boy. I mean, I can't even imagine having a girl... its really funny because I don't care either way, but my brain cannot believe that this baby is a girl. Won't I be suprised if it is a girl!

Anyway, my DH came up with a name that has really stuck in my head. So much so that I've started calling the baby in my thoughts!

What do you think of this name:

Dryden (called Drew if we want a short "nick" name)

I like the name, too. When I was pregnant, I had the same exact feeling as you- totally convinced that I was having a girl. Oops. I was wrong. I am so glad I was, too. Being the mom to a son is a joy I could have never anticipated. Of course, I imagine I'd feel the same if I HAD had a daughter, but...

I will be anxious to find out if your feeling is correct.

I like Dryden Isaac. I *knew* my first was a boy too. We "cheated" and took a peek. When we were walking into the clinic I told DH if they said the baby was a girl I would probably faint on the table LOL! (I'm not given to fainting spells at all...) Sure enough, BOY all the way, no doubt at all.

With my fourth I also *knew* he was a boy, and we DID NOT peek. I was also right. With #5 I was wrong though... This time I really think girl. We'll see soon! DH is predicting girl for me and boy for my sis who is due in a week. It's so much fun to guess.

Oh, I just love these stories about intuition. I think I will faint if this is a girl... I am just so sure its a boy... hee hee. DD and DH think its a girl, so I'm really excited to find out.

Thanks for the opinions on the names... I LOVE Dryden Thomas, especially with our last name. Its my dad's name though... and I worry that my FIL might feel left out.

My only reservation is that so many names end with -den right now.

but I've never heard dryden so I think its prolly exempt from the popularity list

any ideas on how to spell Dryden? We were just spelling it phonetically... maybe there is a Gaelic spelling? I hear you on the "en" names. Its doesn't seem that one can escape them! But Dryden is nowhere near the most popular, so I think we'll be safe for a few years.

I love Dryden Thomas! You could very well be right with your mother's intuition...I've known with both of my babies (at least I hope I do with this one, I just finished washing all the blue stuff!). I even told my Dh as we walked into the u/s for this baby that I was 110% sure we are having a boy. Definitely a boy according to that dangling thing between his legs on the u/s!
