For the last 2 days i have felt so tired and emotional, really heavy and to be honest a bit down

nothing in particular just not my normal bouncy joyous self

sooo tired but not for any reason (no terrible nights or sick children) just i feel absolutely drained

anyone else feel this way

I'm sorry you're not feeling well mama. I'm sure it's just a termporary hurdle to get over.

I am also feeling overtired and emotionally drained at the moment. But for us there is a reason: ds is waking every 1-2hrs through the night for some reason, and barely napping during the day. It might still be a growth spurt, but I'm not so sure anymore. Anyway, it's just so tiring to be up all the time and I don't think ds is always waking because of hunger. Nursing him to sleep is the only thing that's working and I'm just getting a little frustrated. It's been days now and we hope it's not going to continue indefinitely.

I'm feeling this way too. I think maybe it's just the long winter dragging on and on. Not getting enough fresh air. Looking forward to spring, but seems like it's never going to come.

not to jump to anything medical - have you had your thyroid checked yet? I hear 10% of us will have a thyroid issue after pregnancy (around months 2 - 4)...so if your sweaty, hungry, etc, it might be worth checking out.

and !

thanks for the reminder, rachel...i have to have my thyroid checked again. i was hypothyroid for 12 years, until 22yo...i've been fine since then (how, i have no idea...but it's true LOL) but was told to always check during and after any pregnancy.

my symptoms when i was hypo were:
lethargy
dry skin
enlarged neck
decreased sebacious activity (didn't sweat)
hypersensitivity to heat
weight gain/difficult weight loss

Can you find some way to indulge yourself a little? A walk, a haurcut, a workout, a food treat you ususally don't get, time for a craft or whatever is something for you alone. I stuggle most with this while cooped up in the house and shades drawn, which is what DH likes.
