Hi all,
I haven't written or read in just over a week. I haven't been "allowed" to climb my ladder to my loft (where my computer is) until today.
Alas, after 46 hours of labor, I gave birth to Casimir (said KAS i mer--with a short a sound) Seamus at 12:53 am. He was 8 lb. 15 oz. and 20 in.
I did not end up birthing my son at home. The midwives made the decision to move along to the local hospital after spending some 38 odd hours laboring (most of it quite intense, too!) at home. At the hospital, I was given pitocin (truly the pits!!!!!) to speed things along. I pushed for what seemed like many hours...
The little guy must have been happy in his womb as he was two weeks late and still took 46 hours to make his journey!
I will write a more extensive birth story soon!!!
He is the sweetest little thing I have ever seen!!!
Congratulations to all of the new mama! I wish you the best in handling your new little souls!!!
More vibes to those mamas still hanging in there!!!!!
