Anyone interested in doing some sort of a fabric/diaper cut sized trade? I have TONS of cute prints (the ones I made barely even touch the surface of what I have!) But Im always looking for more new fun prints or fabrics.....anyone interested in doing some diaper cut trades? Either for just outer fabrics...or outer and inner? What do ya think?

Oh yes! I'd love to try different soaker materials - I've only used burley french terry, old towels & old prefolds. I'd love to trade some of my terry for some hemp! Plus I've got some jersey & flannel that I could trade. Should we post pics?

This sounds fun...but I bet you'll have to move it over to the Co-ops and Swaps forum for swap sign-ups.
I'd be in...I'd love to try different colors of velour, sherpa, interlock. I have lots of flannel, hemp fleece, hemp terry, suedecloth, some PUL and cotton woven prints.

I'd be in, but maybe we could do an actual reverse swap (rather than a random pairing) just to avoid getting more of what we already have?
I think in this case we would each post numbered packages (pictures would be so nice if possible) and then after closing we all pm the organizer with our top picks of who we would like to recieve from and what package #. Then, they do the match ups, trying to get everyone to recieve something they want (you would send and recieve to/from a different person). This is a little more like organized shopping, I think. Do you all think this would work? Sorry if this is redundant, I just sometimes need to think it out loud for myself!
Also, how big do we think packages should be? Like one diaper cut? Two? What size exactly is a diaper cut?
Wow, I sure ask alot more questions than I answer sometimes!

I'd be in for this! I have some great, yummy sherpa in orange and lime. I also have some natural velour, lots of cute flannels, some print PUL, Bamboo jersey, and lots of microfiber towels. Depending on when (if) this goes down, I'll also have some 2 mil colored PUL. Hooray!

This is going to sound snobby
but this will probably have to be moved to the swaps section and then it might not just be this little group that particpates. Is that how it works? Not that having other people is a bad thing, just that (I think) it's nice to do it with a little group.
Sounds like a great idea though! I could think about whether I'm in or not.
I'm still so nervous to join these things because I'm still so new to this. I do have some 1yd lengths of fabric though and really, am I going to use a full yard of a single print?? Probably not.

I dont see why we cant organize a swap here on the craft forum....a lot of the due date clubs do them in their forum...so why not!....we can try atleast right?
I agree that I like the idea of posting pics of what you have and would like...and trying to do match ups that way. And how much you would like to trade etc.
For the quantity I was thinking diaper cut size as in most diapers can be made from a fat quarter (18x20)....unless you request something bigger I was thinking that would be the perfect size to trade. That way for the littler diapers you have room to work with....Im a stickler for trying to center cute patterns on the butt so this gives a bit of room to play around with.
Then you can also decide if you just want outer/inner fabrics...or if you just wanna do some trades for soakers as well etc.
What do ya think?
Oh...and whoever it was that wants some cute flannel prints...look me up I sooo can hook you up with lots of cuts if your interested!

Here's something else I was thinking. Can we start a Yahoo group for swapping? That way any swaps we want to do wouldn't get lost in the shuffle of the Trading Post and it would still be the diaper making group. Just an idea.
As for diaper cut size, most of my patterns run 19", so I can't even use a FQ. I think 20x20 would be a better generic size. JMHO.
