4th Trimester Swap - Page 2

ISO:

Fabric
- velour -- at least 80% cotton!
- cotton knits (girly prints SUPER! or solids... or boyish prints too! anything, really!)
- cotton interlock
- sherpa (high cotton or all-cotton content)
- any cotton fabric
- minkee
- leather or suede ... any old jacket (or any type of clothing/purses/etc) with parts in good enough condition -- and big enough -- to make up some soft-soled shoes

Patterns: girl's clothes -- just about any size! (though anything bigger than a 6 won't get used until later), aprons, hats, purses, just something fun!! I'd love to get into sewing more fun things! ... or patterns for toys, blanky things, pin cushions... I'm up for anything fun (simple is good too!)!

Yarn: anything soft. I love making baby blankets in my 'free' time (aka, time when I'm able to sit still, but not always at long times... I love just being able to pick up the crochet hook, get in a few stitches, and then get on with whatever needs to be done). I'd love to try some wool yard... and I do love cottons... but anything soft that you'd like a blanket out of

Fun wooden toys for Lucy.

Tie dye shirts is any size up through girls 6x (or a bit bigger I suppose... Madeline will just grow into them!)!

...

That's all I can think of for now If I think of more I'll post it later!

I want to do this, but I'm not sure what I need at the moment. How long do I have to decide? This sounds like a lot of fun. Also, I noticed you said we could do more than one package. How does that work? I'm such a newbie.

You'd have until March 20th to decide and post a list. Then you pm me with a list of anyone who you could send to and all the other mamas will do the same, and I'll match up who's sending to who and post to the thread!

-organic cotton or bamboo diapers (mediums, or for babies 15lbs or bigger)

-organic wool diaper covers, any type (same size or bigger)

-organic baby clothes: spring/summer clothes 6-12mos size, fall clothes 12 mos size

-bamboo or organic cotton fabric

-organic or chemical-free wool yarn (Full Belly, Treliske, Marr Haven, etc)

-Smartwool socks: for toddler shoe size 7/8, child shoe size 1-4, adult woman's shoe size 9, adult men's shoe size 9

may add more later...

ETA: I'm afraid no one will want to choose me because my list isn't diverse enough, so here's a few more things I would to get:

organic chocolate
organic anything!
gift certificates to any diapering WAHM who has organics, natural parenting or toys site, organic clothing sites, or Monkey Sudz or SudzNDudz, etc

I promise I'm not hard to please! If it's natural and/or organic, I'll love it!

Jen/AllNaturalMama - I have to tell you - your OV PFs that you made me from one of the other swaps ROCK MY WORLD! They are great. I fold a Duz-It-All (hemp flat) inside of it and use it at night. Totally great! Thank you!!! It's the gift that just keeps on givin'!

Awww, Claire, you sure do know how to make a mama feel good! I'm soooo glad you like them, and that J's bum is getting good use out of them.

I was just thinking, I'm pretty sure that package arrived the day before your water broke. Isn't amazing where the last 6 months have taken us?! I'm so glad your precious Joie arrived right on time and healthy as could be. I just love that b&w pic of her in your siggie. Too precious for words!

I thought I would start with a small list, because although I see a lot I'd want to offer, I can't think of much we need right now.

Sadly, once again due to money issues (sigh) I'm not going to be able to participate.

Here's my ISO:

Cloth diapering solutions - please help! Everything I try leaks. Used stuff is okay as long as it's odor-free.

I need to try some different covers. (I have tried Bummis super snap and the super whisper wrap in NB, and the LiteWrap.) My girl is still in NB size.

I'd also like to try some all-in-ones in small.

I'm willing to try flat diapers and fitteds. Again, my baby is small, so newborn or small please.

Also, is there such a thing as a washable bag you can keep the dirty diapers in until you wash them? I'm tired of throwing away plastic bags because they have poop on them. I'd rather use something washable.

Biokleen - Bac-Out Stain & Odor Elminator and Spray & Wipe cleaner

Books - used is fine.
The Baby Sleep Book by Dr. Sears
Mother-Daughter Wisdom: Creating a Legacy of Physical and Emotional Health
Stellaluna
any medical book that reviews the stages of the first year

Misc.
Baby Einstein DVD: Baby Newton - Discovering Shapes; Baby Wordsworth - First Words
outlet covers
baby scrapbooking stuff (paper, stickers, cut-outs you don't want; no Disney, please)
baby toothbrush, new in package
old issues of Mothering magazine!
wrap-style carrier (what I really want is a Storch, but dream on, right? I'm tall and thin, for sizing)
mirror to see baby in carseat (I don't have a headrest in the back to attach it to)
baby monitor with cordless receiver that I can carry around
baby clothes hangers
Here's my ISO:

Premium-sized UBCPFs (I know, I have the hugest baby in the world.)
Dritz diaper pins
Wool yarn, any boy or gn color and size 8 knitting needles
Burt's Bees baby products
Soft-soled shoes, boy or gn color for size 6 months
White infant t-shirts size 6 months
Small wet bag (like a diaper bag size)
