My first AIO

And holy crap was it a pain! I have never sewed with PUL or knits before. Usually I can whip out a fitted in about 1/2 an hour minus the snaps.

This one took me two hours... ARGH!!! And it seemed so hard...

Here is the finished product.

As you can see with one of the wings I had a bit of a time getting the PUL just right. I hope it doesn't end up wicking.

Can someone please give me some pointers for working with PUL and knits. THe inner was sherpa. So I would be sewing along the sides and down at the bottom I would have about 1/2 in of PUL that now extended past the sherpa... what was up with that??? I think that is why I had such a hard time with it working!

Help please! Especially since I have four more yards of PUL coming soon!!

I think it looks GREAT!

Are you pinning? I've heard it's ok to pin PUL, since putting it in the dryer helps to seal the pin-holes...

I think that looks super!!!!

like the pp said: pin, pin, PIN!!! I never used to pin and would not believe how wonky it would all turn out!! but now? well, still not perfect but gosh they're better!!

My first AIO was a wreck. Yours looks great! Definitely pin, I probably use way more than I should. Also a walking foot really helps when sewing stretchy fabric.

Looks great! What pattern did you use? Is the PUL stretchy, too, or just the sherpa?

I did pin!! It is the Very Baby AIO and yes... PUL is stretchy.
