Burley Knit Terry

Anything I should know about sewing with this fabric and various uses for it? I got some in the mail this weekend, and it's alot softer than I expected! Can I use this for wipes? I'm making a friend some wipes with velour and variouos fabrics (sherpa, flannel, cotton fleece, etc.), and it seems like BKT would be great for getting those messy poops off, yet still be soft?

I'm surprised at how loose a knit this is. It's just totally not what I was expecting! LOL. But I like it so far - haven't USED it - but I've pet it alot.

I have lots of laundry to do today - starting with real clothes due to traveling all weekend, then I can prewash 9 yards of new fabric. Thankfully, diaper laundry got done before we left (I had to use sposies on the trip and I'm SO glad to be in cloth again... )

Crystal's Cloth makes a BKT wipe, and they're great. They clean up anything! Sorry, though, don't know anything about sewing with it, though.

I ordered 1.5 yards of this last night which I plan to use for soakers. No experience with it at all yet though and never seen it IRL.

My favorite use for BKT is for wipes. They make an awesome single ply wipe that will handle even the worst toddler poop!

Hey, I just added a thread asking where to buy it! Where did you get yours if you don't mind my asking? I haven't sewn with it yet, but I do know that my old mudpies have BKT in the sewn in soaker and we LOVE them, and they are about four years old and still going strong. SUPER soft.

You can join this Yahoo! group, she has it in stock. I just got some and it is nice! I've also petted it a lot, but haven't used it yet.
