Ok... http://store.attachedtobaby.com/deta...=Storchenwiege This? This is where I feel like I just don't get it. It's just a piece of fabric. Do you know someone with a serger? Or even find a seamstress out of the paper if you feel the urge. It's just fabric, right? Don't get me wrong, I LOVE my wraps. And, I've never been one to talk anyone out of a carrier!

yes, i dont have have a serger but its the material and the workmanship for me. i am sure there are many WAHM's who do as good a job, but i am a bit addicted right now and just saw this!

granted, this is after coming down from my addiction to MTs! i just realized that there is no way i can have enough MT's!!! but alas, i really must branch out!!

i have had to stop my addiction for the time being bc of $$$. i still look every day but no purchasing for me! well, unless SOMEONE buys my MT. *giggle*
but yeah...storches are gorgeous. i don't know what the dif is between those and ellaroos, honestly. ellaroos have similar weave and patterns and are like 1/2 the price. do storches have fringe like ellaroos do? i love that detail.
i want a light solarveil wrap for summer i think. LOL

oh and i love the patterns of the GMs.

there are a few solar veils on sale here at the TP for pretty good prices!

*LALALALALALA* I CAN'T HEEEEAR YOU!!!!

Ok, so I had a solerveil and I just like my sling set a lot better. www.theslingset.com I just like the pouch. My solerveil was a ring sling & frankly the feel of solerveil is SO rough. It's just not comfy. And, if you wear sleveless, the solerveil seems to cut skin... makes me think it's not so nice for the babe, ya know?

MM - tell me about your MT. I'm looking for one for a friend of mine.

I can understand the urge because I gave in to it myself.

I bought the Inka Storch a few weeks ago and it is just wonderful! I love the colors and it's super comfortable. I haven't tried many of the carry positions because I'm trying to perfect a couple first. I justified the purchase by choosing a wrap I figured would last at least through the toddler years - storches are super durable!

Here's simon in the kangaroo carry.

how did you tie that, minoh? it looks dif than how i do it

Spark - i just PMd you

He's sitting in a pocket in the front, and the straps are over my shoulders then are crossed behind, then tied under his bum. Does that make any sense?? It's definitely a comfortable carry for long periods!

Oh, Storchs are so much better than anything anyone could whip up out of fabric. Of all the woven wraps out there, they're my absolute favorite. They're soft, but also kind of 'grippy' and the colors are just so beautiful. I have a Storch addiction - I have two Annas, an Inka and an Ulli. Shhh....don't tell my husband. The Anna and Ulli look very similar, so he thinks I only have 1 instead of the 3.

You can check out mamatoto.org for more wrapping suggestions.

what a cool picture, minoh!
i definitely want to try that way of wrapping. i just my wrap more and more, but would love to try new ways of wrapping it. i'm going to try your way. the storch website photos have a lot of funky wrapping positions... i'm going to have to experiment!
hm...ok...maybe i'll try that carry with Ava. i've been doing the wrap cross carry (i think LOL) and i've loved that...but i'd like to try the pocket version.

did you flip the fabric at the shoulder to pull it tighter up by his shoulders?

Yup! I still haven't mastered getting the tightness just right, but it seems to work fine.

i'm asking bc now that i think about it, that's how i START my wrap but then i pull the fabric down in an X over her body again for stability. and if i didn't, and just relied on that first pocket i make with the fabric she wouldn't be stable at all. but i don't fold the shoulder fabric so maybe that's why...

hm...
