If it is really a lot of extra lanolin, then you can wash it in a gentle detergent like baby shampoo. If the problem seems to be more that the lanolin is sitting on top of the fibers and is sticky in spots, try putting the soaker in a warm place like the top of the dryer while you are drying laundry, it will help melt the lanolin and allow the cashmere to absorb it better.
