How do I order snaps and a die set from her website? I e-mailed her last week but no reply - is there another way to do this? I know some of you have had success - help!

her site: http://www.picturetrail.com/xiaohua68847

Now that I know I can use the drill press we own , I'm getting a little antsy waiting for this stuff!

I'm surprised you haven't heard from her. I usually hear back within 24 hours. I'm actually waiting on some stuff from her that she shipped last Monday. I don't know why she's not responding. Hope she does soon, especially since it will take a while to get here!

earthenware: how do you use the drill press to apply the snaps? I've been thinking about getting a snap press, but have't made up my mind yet. My dad has a drill press and I'm at their house every week so if I could use that easily...? Heck, he has his own industrial sewing machine (pfaff) sp? and he has metal snaps on some of his stuff so maybe he already has snap setting equipment? Hmm, I guess I'll have to ask him.

I would email her again, maybe your first email is lost. I know she posts at Amitymama and Sewing mamas too, so maybe you could pm her on those boards.

I'm not the expert on the drill press set-up (do a search for drill press and you can find pics of Leo'sMama's set up and lots of other info) but I can tell you what I'm doing!

You can use a drill press to apply snaps if you buy a die set. (Serena sells Kam die sets for $15 including shipping, other palces are around $30.) You put one end of the die in the drill (where the drill bit usually goes) and the other half goes in a clamp on the bottom. You mark your fabric and place it between the parts, get the snap bits in their right places, then you just use the handle to press down (don't turn on the drill press). I think it sounds simple and we already own one! HTH!

Good point, sounds like this is out of character for her. I'll try again and hope that works. As long as I know I'm going through the right paths! Thanks ladies!

Yeah, I too have always heard back from her within 24 hours (usually less!). In fact, when I send her a PP order without e-mailing first, she has the item in the mail the same day!

Takes 11 days to ship from her to me usually. It comes registered mail, so you have to sign for it (even if it's just $5 worth of snaps ).
