I'm so sick of losing my hair!

It's literally EVERYWHERE! Those of you who've done this before: when does it stop? I feel like my dog! It's all over DS, my clothes, and my house.

I thought maybe I'd be safe since it didn't hit me right away, but it's started now, and it's driving me crazy.

me too! it's driving me mad. happened after my dd birth too after about 10weeks. i can't remember when it stopped. today i began to think maybe i'd just shave my head. i've had long hair since high school, maybe it'd be fun to see it grow out? cool for the summer..... and no more hairs tickling my arms, hanging off ds, turning up in food (yack), drifting about on the floor...... ugggh

ditto. it didn't happen the firsttime around but this time it is absurd. when i take a bath or shower, the drain is clogged. My brush...uh. I clean it after every use.

You should ask your doctor to test your thyroid levels. 10% of women experience thyroid problems postpartum (postpartum thyroiditis). The signs and symptoms include:

fatigue
depression
having trouble concentrating beyond the initial postpartum period
hair loss

Quote:
Postpartum thyroiditis typically follows a pattern: at first, you become hyperthyroid, and might feel breathless, nervous, mentally confused, have unexplained weight loss, or trouble sleeping. This phase usually appears anytime between one and four months after the birth of the baby.

In the second phase, which usually shows up three to eight months postpartum, the body’s hormones are again out of whack. Instead of releasing too much thyroid hormone, the body releases too little, and you become hypothyroid. Symptoms of this stage might be depression, fatigue, weight gain or difficulty losing weight, and an enlarged thyroid gland or sensation of pressure in your neck. Checking your TSH levels will clue you – and your healthcare providers - as to what’s going on.

my hair is always coming out. i have long hair and wear it in a pony tail all the time. i just cant manage it around ds3 without getting it all over his face, etc.
my hairdresser (last time i saw one) told me we all lose about 100 hairs a day but most short haired ppl dont notice. dont know if you are losign more than that.
i have been thinking of getting it cut too but it took me 4 years to grow it out and i really dont want to go through that again.
when i brush my hair, tons come out. its all over my car b/c thats where i tend to really brush my hair! i konw...kind of weird!
