Lighting a candle...

For the one year anniversary that my angel-ectopic baby left my body at 9 weeks.

On March 15, 2005 I woke up to excrutiating pain on my right side and within hours, had surgery to remove my baby and my right tube, which had burst. It has been a long emotional recovery process and I feel so blessed to have been able to concieve again and be waiting for our baby to arrive so soon! Even more amazing is that I actually ovulated from my right ovary, which means that my left tube stretched around to "catch" the egg to allow it to grow into this baby. I cannot help but think that this baby may captured the spirit of my angel ectopic.

Anyway, I felt like sharing because I didn't want yesterday to go by without memorializing in some way and that loss is so tied to this pregnancy in my mind...

I've been there myself twice, although not ectopic. I can understand your grief and certainly celebrate this new life with you.

Thanks for sharing this important day with us. I will keep you and your angel baby in my thoughts today. I truly believe that baby will lead your new baby to a calm and peaceful birth when the time is right.

Here is one for you and I am lighting one for myself... My due date would have been tomorrow for my angel that I lost to 8 week miscarriage in the summer of 2004...

My thoughts are with you!! HUGS!

I don't know how to do the candle thing but glad you could share that with us.

I have a few angels myself, so I totally understand where you are coming from!
